Systems Development Engineer II, Support Engineering, Tooling & Automation (SETA)
Lead the design, build, and implementation of technical solutions to complex problems.
Lead reviews of architecture, design, operations, process, or post-incident analysis for your team. You will actively participate in reviews of systems owned by partner teams.
Drive automation and refactoring of existing solutions, including incorporating new generative AI and machine learning components.
Ensure scalability, reliability and efficiency of automation processes.
Report and analyze usage statistics of the tools and services that our team owns.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks and deficiencies.
Define your team’s technical strategy and operating models.
Hire and develop others by leveraging your expertise, coaching, and mentoring.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
3+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
Experience with Linux/Unix
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of a front-end language (Javascript, CSS, HTML, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
