Possession of a Degree, preferably with a focus on Accounting and/or Tax.
Beneficial: Completion of a Post- Graduate Degree in Tax.
Proven experience in tax within an accounting or audit firm.
Proficiency in tax administration, including the preparation and submission of income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and other entities.
Demonstrated expertise in handling SARS disputes, objections, remission of penalties, and related matters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate proficiency in tax management gained through practical experience within the tax domain of an accounting/audit firm.
Spearhead tax administration processes, exhibiting expertise in the preparation and submission of income tax returns for diverse entities such as individuals, companies, trusts, and other organisational bodies.
Manage and resolve intricacies related to SARS, including disputes, objections, remission of penalties, and other pertinent matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Facilitate effective communication with clients and regulatory authorities, fostering strong professional relationships and ensuring clarity on tax-related issues.
Take charge of the appointment of representative officers and facilitate seamless changes to bank details at SARS, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and compliance with procedural requirements.
