    Tax Recruitment Assistant Manager (Tax Recruiter)

    The Recruiting Assistant Manager is responsible for recruiting qualified candidates to fill experienced hire positions in designated EY Tax practice subservice lines:

    •  Indirect Tax
    •  International Tax
    •  Business Tax Advisory
    •  Tax Controversy
    •  Global compliance and reporting
    •  Transfer Pricing
    •  Tax compliance mobility
    •  People advisory service
    •  Human capital, Immigration and mobility Tax.

    This position may also have responsibility for the identification of talent and converting prospects into active candidates in order to fill experienced hire position for the firm.

    The Recruiting Assistant Manager will recruit for positions at all levels excluding Partner, Principal, Executive Director and Director (PPEDD) positions. This position works with business leaders, Human Resources (HR), recruiting leaders and hiring managers to execute on workforce and hiring plans. The Recruiting Assistant Manager has responsibility for assessing candidate profiles and managing candidates through the interview process, negotiates and closes offer acceptances.

    This position receives general supervision and can work effectively with little supervision on a daily basis; requests assistance from Recruiting Leader on more complex issues.

    To qualify, candidates must have:

    •  A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    •  Approximately 57 years of Tax experienced hire recruitment
    •  Preferably from a professional services environment
    •  Knowledge and experience in full lifecycle experienced hire recruitment
    •  Knowledge of recruitment/hiring laws and practices
    •  Possess high level of specialized knowledge in experienced hire recruitment
    •  Ability to quickly gain indepth knowledge of firm recruitment policies, processes and protocols
    •  Ability to quickly adapt to, embrace and champion new technology and tools
    •  Act as a change agent as new technology, tools and processes are rolled out
    •  Ability to quickly gain a broad understanding of the firm's Service Lines and a detailed understanding of the practice for which this position is responsible for
    •  Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, multitasking environment
    •  Ability to utilize strategic thinking skills and work to collaborate with fellow team members on best practices
    •  Strong customer focus and effective use of consultative approach with clients
    •  Travel may be required, depending on scope of role.
    •  Should be willing to work overtime as required.
    •  Conduct prequalifying phone screen interviews with candidates and targeted warm calls to generate interest in EY opportunities.
    •  Make next step recommendations for each candidate.
    •  Responsible for identifying candidates through multiple sources including employee referrals, social networking sites (e.g.LinkedIn), alumni, transfers and agencies.
    •  Provide regular updates to hiring manager, recruiting leaders and other stakeholders as may be appropriate on pipeline development and candidate progress.
    •  Develop and maintain relationships with Business Unit and Service Line hiring managers and HR leaders.
    •  Participate in workforce planning sessions and ongoing adhoc feedback meetings with hiring managers.
    •  Execute on processes to implement hiring plans based on business strategy in consultation with business and recruiting leaders.
    •  Participate with hiring managers and recruiting leadership to develop implementation plans for sourcing and recruiting strategies, paying particular attention to inclusiveness strategies.
    •  Responsible for inclusiveness sourcing efforts for assigned SubService Line and/or Practice. Attend inclusiveness events and conferences to develop and foster relationships with diverse professional organizations for pipeline. Followup on leads, participant lists, etc.
    •  Manage candidates through the entire interview and hiring process (up to and including assessing candidate qualifications for current open positions, negotiating offers and initiating on boarding for new hires).
    •  Responsible for scanning the marketplace for trends and obtaining information on competitive positioning. May make recommendations regarding how this information could affect hiring plans and/or sourcing strategies.
    •  Responsible for mastering the use of recruiting tools and technologies (Taleo, LinkedIn, etc) to remain at the forefront of talent acquisition. Research and recommend the use of other vendors that may improve the effectiveness of recruiting and/or sourcing activities. May provide testing or manage the rollout of a new tool or technology to the recruiting community.
    •  Ability to assess whether candidates have the appropriate skills, competencies and experiences required to meet the specifications of the proposed position.
    •  Ability to articulate and market EY opportunities to candidates.
    •  Ability to negotiate and close offers. Responsible for counselling and mentoring other recruiters.
