    Team Lead - Finance - Centurion

    Description    

    • A Team Leader is a professional in charge of guiding, monitoring and leading an a team. They are responsible for motivating their team as well as inspiring positive communication within them so that they can work together toward achieving goals.
    • HELLO Group is looking for an aspiring Accountant with Recon experiance to Lead a Team to achieve their full potential. 

    Minimum Requirements    
    You need:
    Qualifications sufficient to perform the job role: 

    • Min of Two (2) Years of Financial Accounting experience.
    • Completed Accounting Qualification.
    • Completed SAICA articles (Preferred).
    • Three (3) five (5) years’ commercial experience (in a non-audit environment) (Preferred).
    • Thorough understanding of financial management obligations (including statutory obligations), requirements and dynamics.
    • Experience of computer software.
    • Ability to assist in financial management and control.
    • Leadership with ability to drive a  team.
    • Project management skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure.

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Responsibility to staff and direct the team :

    • responsible for the day to day  activities of your team
    • to assist with monitoring the financial performance of the organisation
    • to with the preparation of current financial reports and forecasts for future business growth including budgets, income statements, balance sheets ect.
    • to assist in the management of  all accounting procedures and systems used by the organisation
    • assist in the review of reports and analyse projections against actual figures and suggests methods of improving the planning process
    • meet your targets and those of the team as a whole
    • to assist in the smooth running of the of the team
    • contribute to training and development of the team
    • comply with all the financial and legal requirements, responsibilities and obligations

    Day to day responsibilities for the team as agreed with the Line Manager to include:

    • to assist in the preparation of current financial reports and forecasts for future business growth including budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies and financial management reports to ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements, responsibilities and obligations,  including statutory obligations,
    • to assist in the management of recruitment of team members, subject to agreed criteria
    • train and appraise individual team members to ensure targets are met
    • to assist with the performance and development of team members
    • reporting (content and format as agreed) on a monthly basis
    • to assist with developing plans for team activities to include financial strategy to achieve agreed targets and improve planning
    • manage the preparation and agreement of  individual action plans and targets for all team members
    • conduct presentations and proposals to enable the team to deliver accurate planning
    • delegate authority and responsibility to team with supervision, accountability and review
    • set an example for team members of commitment, financial activities, work ethics and habits and personal character
    • maintain accurate financial and other records
    • adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
    • interact and co-operate with the all members of the organisation and its suppliers and clients/customers
    • From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role even where these fall outside of your own department/team.
    • You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Line Manager. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organisation generally.
    • You must carry out your duties to the best of your ability, having consideration for the needs of your colleagues, and the organisation and its clients/customers. You must obey all lawful and reasonable orders given to you and comply with the organisation’s rules, procedures and policie
