To implement the unit operations plan by understanding the plan and activities including all projects and key performance measures, communicating to the relevant stakeholders and monitoring implementation daily.
To report on performance by tracking unit performance against targets, identifying progress and areas of concern, drafting reports and submitting quarterly and as required.
To manage the implementation of unit business processes by monitoring compliance, identifying anomalies and implementing corrective action as required.
To manage compliance with unit policies and procedures by monitoring adherence to requirements, identifying areas of concern and implementing corrective action as required.
To manage the total third-party transport order cycle for road, local and exports by planning, scheduling and managing the execution of orders in alignment with customer demand as required.
To support the processes for executing payment of transport invoices by providing support on transport invoice queries, providing opportunities for employee feedback and improvement suggestions and reporting on complete and obsolete items to Accounts Payable for invoicing, daily.
To maintain customer relationships by effectively collaborating with service providers, negotiating and finalizing SLAs, investigating and reporting on customer complaints, identifying key risks, implementing corrective actions, and analyzing complaints to prevent recurring issues, daily
To implement expenditure within budget by understanding the components of the budget and approving expenditure in line with budget and policy monthly
To monitor expenditure against budget by receiving the financial report, reviewing expenditure totals against budget, addressing any areas of concern or anomalies and implementing corrective action monthly
To implement SHE practices by understanding required actions, implementing and reviewing within deadline or as per process.
To monitor SHE and risk by reviewing activities, addressing concerns or issues and resolving issues as required
To maintain stakeholder relationships by liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, providing input and feedback actions, receiving feedback and contributions and collaborating as required
To maintain relationships with service providers by understanding and tracking service levels required and monitoring delivery against standards, identifying areas of concern and implementing corrective action monthly and as required
To support staff recruitment by participating in the interviewing process and providing feedback as required
To manage resourcing by understanding work demands and allocating appropriate resources to facilitate work output as required
Requirements
Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
B Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics
5 or more years within supply chain or operations explosives environment
Proven experience in explosives value chain and Supply Chain Outbound
