To effectively manage the Accounts Receivable process for Debtors and PAXI. The role is responsible for producing debtors' age analysis reports, identifying and communicating potential risks relating to unrecoverable debt, and supporting the minimisation of financial loss.
The Team Leader will oversee the daily operations and performance of the Debtors Services team, ensuring work is delivered accurately and within required deadlines while maintaining strong financial controls.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Capture and update debtor account classifications, payment terms and amendments in accordance with agreed agreements and policies.
Ensure all debtor information is accurate, complete and maintained in line with financial controls.
Ensure accurate and timely issuing of invoices and credit notes for debtors.
Prepare and distribute monthly debtor statements.
Ensure month-end and quarter-end deadlines for invoicing, credit notes and allocations are met to support financial reporting and intercompany requirements.
Reconcile remittance advices to debtor payments and resolve reconciling items.
Compile and monitor monthly debtors age analysis reports.
Track overdue balances and provide regular feedback to Finance leadership on collection performance and risks.
Manage the daily performance and workflow of the Debtors Services team, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Identify opportunities to improve debtors processes, controls and reporting.
Work with Business Analysts and Finance leadership to implement system enhancements and process improvements.
Support internal and external audit processes to ensure strong financial controls and compliance.
Requirements
Tertiary Qualification (i.e. Certificate, Diploma or Degree) in accounting
3 years experience within a finance department
Supervisory experience will be an advantage
Retail experience will be an advantage
SAP experience will be an advantage
Knowledge of accounts receivable processes will be an advantage
Computer literacy – Google Workspace (Intermediate G-Sheets)
