Job Advert Summary    

• Manage subordinates and control processes in Distribution. Ensure efficient and cost-effective distribution of products to customers.
• Ensure that good housekeeping and safety standards are maintained
• Ensure that you build relationships with delivery crews and customers
• Ensure that all outstanding POD are in within 24hours

Requirements    

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Must be able make use of DRM, mix telematics for route controlling
• Valid Code 8 licence
• Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous
• Ability to work independently in a pressurized environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, Public Holidays and overtime when required

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Ensure that good housekeeping and safety standards are maintained
• Provide general office administrative support
• Daily despatching of routes and debriefing of delivery teams
• Daily route planning and monitoring of routes while doing deliveries
• Investigate and provide feedback on rejected Driver claims
• Attend to customer queries and complaints
• Perform daily truck audits and provide feedback to Management
• Any ad hoc duties as required by Management
• Ensure that drivers report any accidents and issues from the routes
• Ensure that tracking is done properly, and check if drivers are following the route sequence
• Ensure that pre and post trip inspection is done properly by the drivers
• Ensure drivers log calls with CSC for any delays after every 30 minutes
• Ensure that any cancellations of invoices do have ref numbers from CSC
• Ensure that you build relationships with delivery crews and customers
• Ensure that all outstanding POD are in within 24hours
• Supervision of subordinates
