Team Leader Finance at Discovery Limited

Key purpose

• To review and process journals and reconcile balance sheet accounts. To conduct other adhoc financial reporting analysis and related tasks. To lead and support a team.

Key Outputs

• To review and post journals to record all entries in the GL.
• To review B/S accounts to ensure completeness validity and accuracy of Management Account.
• To prepare and present management accounts.
• To provide variance explanations on the management accounts.
• To review payments and meet the contractual timelines of these payments.
• To provide finance support to the New Market Executive team.
• To assist with budget preparations.

Experience and Qualifications

• Completed BCom /B Accounting degree
• Bcom Honors qualification
• Minimum 1 – 2 years working experience in Finance
• In addition to the above, Minimum 1 – 2 years leadership experience
• Good understanding of accounting principles and application thereof
• MS Outlook
• Intermediate level Excel
