Team Leader: Inward, FEC's, CFC and FCA at Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

• To lead the team responsible for checking, verifying and releasing all foreign exchange contracts (FECs), client foreign currency (CFC), and foreign client account (FCA) payment transactions, aligned to company policies and procedures and in compliance with Exchange Control regulations. 
• To implement and lead a highly efficient and effective customer centric productivity model.  
• To review and monitor all ZAR reconciliations.  

Experience

Minimum:

• 3 – 5 years banking and FX experience, at least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience

Ideal:

• 4+ years banking and FX experience, at least 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Banking or Commerce

Knowledge

Minimum:

• Compliance with Company Policies and Procedures, and a departmental strategy.
• Operational risk
• Knowledge and compliance with SA Reserve Exchange Control regulations, SWIFT standards, cut-off times
• Knowledge and basic understanding of pricing concepts and application to client transactions / accounts  
• Knowledge and understanding of Foreign Exchange (FX), payment and clearing systems
