Technical Assistant at Drakenstein Municipality

JOB PURPOSE:

• Performs technical functions associated with the evaluation of building plan, festival, tent, wayleave, borehole and attending to general civil engineering enquiries through investigation, analysis and interpretation of data and/or materials and analyzing results in adherence to laid down standards, policies, systems and controls to facilitate the recording, updating, circulation and maintenance of information with regards to various administrative activities related to the Sub-Section.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST:

• National Diploma in Engineering

OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

• Code B Driver’s License
• Computer literacy (MS Office Applications)
• Proficiency in at least 2 of the official languages of the Western Cape
• Good human relations, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to give attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to handle conflict

EXPERIENCE:

• No experience required
