Bachelors Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical)
Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
Minimum Experience of 3-5 years in engineering Purchasing field within a mining environment
Project Management experience of at least 3 years

Analytical Skills: The ability to analyse data, understand quality metrics, and interpret technical
documents, blueprints, and specifications are vital for identifying issues and making informed decisions
Attention to Detail: Precision is key in quality control. Inspectors must meticulously examine products and processes to identify any deviations from specifications
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Outstanding initiative, drive, and resilience in activities to meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to share appropriate messages with various
levels of leadership as well as external parties
Proactively communicate and collaborate within Project organization, functions (i.e. legal, controllers, etc), and Procurement category families to maximize commercial outcomes
Analyse data on market intelligence from other internal groups and use results to optimize project execution strategies
Buying—Commercial: equipment & material procurement, negotiation and influence, bid development and evaluation, supplier relationship management, procurement strategy development
Musty have own transport

Responsibilities
Source and purchase a wide range of technical equipment and supplies
Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and delivery terms
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends and developments
Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including contracts and purchase orders
Ensure timely delivery of goods and resolution of any issues that may arise
Conduct supplier performance evaluations and make recommendations for improvements
Assist with the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
Will be expected to travel between sites and conduct Supplier visits
Will be expected to conduct Supplier audits and quality inspections
Conduct all work according to required standards and specifications.
