    Technical Officer: Technical

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintenance and repairs on Museum infrastructure (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, welding, metalwork).
    • Technical support to other departments.
    • Manage technical workshop - ensure it is organized and safe to use.
    • Assist with implementation of health and safety procedures and compliance with the Health and Safety Act.
    • Liaise with contractors, Department of Public Works & Infrastructure (DPWI) and other stakeholders as required.
    • Work after hours for events, functions and when necessary.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical environment (maintenance, facilities, or similar).
    • Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, welding, and metal work experience.
    • Experience using workshop machinery (e.g. power tools, woodworking equipment, etc.). A valid driver's license (Code B).

Shortlisted candidates will be required to bring certified copies on date of interviews. Failure to attend the interview on the date and time given will automatically disqualify the candidate. The Museum also reserves the right to lay criminal charges for any suspected fraudulent activities related to this process.
