Technical Specialist (ERP) at Hire Resolve

Job Description

• A well-established South African ERP consulting and technology company specializing in the delivery, implementation, and support of enterprise-grade ERP solutions, is seeking a hands-on, senior Technical Specialist to own the technical deployment, delivery, and ongoing management of ERP environments across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-enabled architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, deploy, and support ERP environments (On-premises, Hybrid, and Cloud).
• Manage ERP upgrades, patches, performance optimization, and complex troubleshooting.
• Act as the senior escalation point for all ERP-related technical challenges.
• Design, support, and maintain hybrid architectures utilizing Microsoft Azure.
• Manage and support ERP-related application environments hosted via IIS.
• Oversee ERP application scaling, high availability, and operational support models.
• Support the deployment and management of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Maintain a working understanding of Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain deployment concepts and architecture.
• Provide technical guidance to internal team members and share best practices.
• Coordinate and manage third-party vendors and hosting providers.
• Collaborate with ERP consultants, developers, project managers, and clients to provide technical input on planning and solution design.
• Ensure ERP environments adhere to security, patching, and compliance best practices.
• Oversee access controls, environment segregation, and audit readiness.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 5–8 years in a technical role supporting ERP or enterprise-grade systems.
• Proven track record working across customer-facing, multi-environment landscapes (On-prem, hybrid, and cloud).
• Experience managing or coordinating internal resources and third-party vendors.
• ERP Systems: Strong, vendor-agnostic ERP software platform experience (knowledge of deployments similar to Epicor Kinetic).
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure (hybrid concepts) and IIS.
• Operations: Enterprise application deployment, scaling, operational support, and infrastructure security/compliance.
• Preferred: Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Advantageous: Relevant certifications in Microsoft, Azure, ERP systems, infrastructure, or security.
