Job Description    
ImproChem is looking to recruit a Technician to work in the Eastern Cape. To ensure installed equipment reliability at various customer sites in the Eastern Cape region.ImproChem provides Innovative, High Quality and Safe, Integrated Water, Energy, Air and Hygiene Solutions which add Sustainable Value to our Customers as well as our Owners, Employees and Communities. We serve a diversity of industries including Upstream Oil & Gas Extraction and Production; Crude Oil Refining; CTL and GTL Plants; Downstream Petrochemicals; Mining; Metals; Power Generation; Paper; Sugar; Textiles; Automotive and many more.

Duties & Responsibilities    

•  To provide scheduled, planned and unplanned technical support to the plants, equipment and maintenance sections focussing on mechanical maintenance and
• support
•  To drive continuous improvement by providing new and optimised mechanical solutions. Makes technical decisions to best translate user requirements into
• mechanical systems
•  Monitoring and correcting all online equipment in conjunction with engineering, i.e. Improserve
•  Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition. Make decisions on how to apply safety and risk
• mitigation principles to mechanical systems
•  All work will be done in compliance with customer and Improchem set safety rules and regulations
•  Required to do necessary equipment SLA maintenance, replacements and installations on customer sites

Qualifications & Experience    

•  Matric / Grade 12.
•  Trade tested Fitter/Electrician/Millwright.
•  Water treatment and testing and equipment experience is essential
•  Abel to do Maintenance standby.
•  Valid driver’s license.
•  Previous experience in proper task allocation and time keeping.
•  Travelling is required to execute the responsibilities of this role.
