Technician: NRL Genetics - Centurion at Ampath

Purpose of Position:

• To process blood, bone marrow and tissue specimens according to the set criteria and standards on all benches in the genetics laboratory.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Required), HPCSA registration as a Technician (Haematology / Clinical Pathology) (Required), National Certificate: Medical Technician (Required)

Required Experience:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the filing and storage of samples and DNA, Assist with training of fellow technicians to ensure competence., Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath, Perform accreditation and quality control related tasks to ensure standards are upheld, Receive and process specimens in order to ensure efficient delivery of results.
