Our client, a well-established speciality retail store in East London, is seeking a friendly, energetic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join their team on a temporary maternity cover contract (approximately three months).
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is eager to learn. A recent school leaver with the right attitude, maturity and willingness to learn will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Deliver exceptional customer service and product advice.
Prepare fresh juices and smoothies (full training provided).
Merchandise and replenish stock to maintain attractive product displays.
Assist with stock control and general housekeeping.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and store presentation.
Learn and become familiar with an extensive range of health, wellness and lifestyle products.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.
Perform general retail duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
Matric (Grade 12).
Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential.
Comfortable interacting with customers in a busy retail environment.
Well-presented with excellent communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Organised with the ability to multitask.
Fast learner with a positive attitude.
Reliable, punctual and a strong team player.
An interest in health, wellness or organic living would be advantageous.
