Textile Graphic Designer at Talented Recruitment Specialists

• We are looking for a Textile Graphic Designer with a creative flair and a passion for home textile design trends to join a leading textile manufacturer in Durban, KZN.
• Our client supplies products to major retail chains across South Africa and specializes in sourcing, designing, developing, printing, and manufacturing a wide range of home textiles.

Requirements:

• Textile Graphic designer (with creative flair and interest / passion for home textile design trends)
• Can conceptualise, design, create, review and oversee all print designs
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and correctness
• Demonstrates sound work ethics, taking personal pride in delivering high quality work
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment aligning with the production team, prototype team and key account managers with meeting deadlines
• Knowledge of colour theory and design principles – strong skills in colouring and understanding of colour is an absolute pre-requisite
• Ability to create mock-ups and prototypes for client presentations
• Experience in photo editing and retouching using software like Photoshop
• Strong communication (effective communication with team members and clients is essential)
• Proficiency in other graphic design software or tools (strong advantage)
• Understanding trends in fashion and graphic design in the home textiles industry
• Ability to multitask and prioritise to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of different file formats and their appropriate use for various applications

Requirements: 

• Ideally 5 years’ experience as a graphic designer in a fashion industry (we would like to see a portfolio)
• Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Freehand
• strong skills in colouring
• Thrive in a fast paced, results driven environment
