Tractor Driver at Madibeng Local Municipality

• Salary: R159 003.36 (Post level 15)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic Literacy Code EB and EC Drivers’ License with PrDP (PDP)
• Be able to operate, engage a slasher Basic former tractor driving experience
• 1 – 2 years relevant experience

KEY PERFORMANCES AREAS:

• Inspect safe devices, controls, lubricant levels, etc. on tractor vehicles and reporting defects
• Observe and or participate with personnel in the loading or offloading sequences of items and tools, (refuse bags, spades, brooms, brush cutters), check requirements prior to departure from site or locations and or correcting deviations from safety procedures.
• Cut grass and general maintenance using the tractor with a slasher
• Clean and prepare flowerbeds, do weeding, trim edges, fertilize, compost and mulch flowerbeds Spray herbicides and pesticides by means of knapsack sprayers
• Rake grass cuttings, leaves etc. by means of rubber/steel rakes
• Dig and trim holes for planting of trees an planting of grass
• Perform other duties as indicated by supervisor that is not part of the daily day to day running of sections but is not out of the horticultural scope of work by using knowledge and experienced gathered over the years to enhance the quality of horticultural work in MLM
