Trade and Processing Specialist at UBS

Your role
We’re looking for a Trade and Processing Specialist to:
 

• Cover Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) process including booking, settlement and reconciliation

• Settle corporate actions and dividends

• Act as relationship manager working with business, other internal depts., external clients, securities lenders and the JSE

• Manage trade process, settlement and control for Equities, Structured Product and Actively Managed Certificate transactions, interacting with the middle and front offices to resolve trade discrepancies or operational risks

• Perform daily 4-eye check of trades, monitoring un-affirmed trades

• Manage transactional and settlement queries from external and internal clients, like trading counterparties,

front office and finance
 

• See that control processes and procedures (reconciliations etc.) all comply with our standards, policies and regulatory requirements

• Support ongoing client, regulatory and audit requirements on regular and ad-hoc basis

• Provide reporting to internal and external clients, and support ad-hoc projects (including process review and change)

Your team
You’ll be working in the Operations team in Rosebank, South Africa. We work closely with all colleagues and key stakeholders to manage the effective booking, settlement and reconciliation of multiple products. Team play a vital role in the front to back trade lifecycle

Your expertise
 

• Banking experience, preferably multi-national

• Robust understanding of ETD and corporate actions

• Experience in Vendor management within the financial services industry

• Great communicator, able to build, maintain and enhance relationships at all levels

• Comfortable working with internal and external clients

• Ability to demonstrate flexibility, being able to deliver to tight deadlines and manage several priorities at once

• Ideally 2 – 4 years of previous experience in back office/Trade Support environment

• BDA experience is essential

• Proficient computer skills including [MS office], with advanced MS Excel

• Experience of interacting with middle and front offices to resolve trade queries and issues

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
