Traditional Media Internship - 12 Month Contract at OUTsurance

Job Description

• The person must be self-motivated with an extreme passion for marketing and the strategy behind it, and must be able to compile in depth reporting and interpret data to identify analytical trends to make recommendations upon findings. This person must be able to function well in a diverse team. The successful applicant must be able to multitask and prioritise and work under extreme pressure.
• You will be the direct line to the Marketing Media Planners.

Responsibilities will include

• Capturing of data onto OUTsurance system.
• Capturing of all TV, Radio and Print bookings on excel for the upcoming month.
• Pull weekly/monthly TV viewership numbers to determine if there is an increase/decline in audiences.
• Always be willing to assist the ATL team when needed.
• Checking and processing of invoices
• Assist with checking TV and radio logs in order to determine if media spots flighted correctly
• Create and allocate Radio and TV flighting codes for upcoming bookings
• Reporting

Qualifications

• Matric
• HG Mathematics in matric with a high pass grade/ Mathematics (70% and above)
• Completed Marketing diploma or Marketing bachelor’s degree
• Statistics and/or mathematics as a subject at tertiary level will be beneficial
• Excel course will be beneficial

Skills and Competencies

• Self-starter, must take ownership of all projects and day-today tasks.
• Very strong numerical skills. Must enjoy working with numbers on a daily basis.
• Proficient in  Microsoft Excel (including working with large sets of data, intricate formulas and pivot tables)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to prioritise workload, and multi-task.
• Must have strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Must be able to plan ahead.
