Drive transaction progression, remove barriers to execution, and accelerate the successful completion of real estate transactions across the Africa portfolio. The Transaction Lead acts as the primary delivery lead for the Africa Real Estate team, ensuring that transactions progress efficiently through the transaction lifecycle, risks and bottlenecks are identified early, and appropriate actions are taken to maintain momentum and achieve successful outcomes.
Working closely with the Account Director, the Transaction Lead provides leadership, coaching, and support to Transaction Managers, while coordinating closely with the Operations Coordinator to ensure reporting, governance, and administrative requirements are effectively managed. The role proactively identifies transaction risks, escalates issues, facilitates stakeholder engagement, and drives solutions to remove obstacles that may delay project progression.
The Transaction Lead serves as the key link between strategy and execution, translating account objectives into actionable plans, clear accountability, proactive stakeholder engagement, and consistent transaction delivery across the Africa portfolio.
Responsibilities:
7-10 years' experience in commercial real estate, transaction management, project management, programme management, account management, or a related professional services environment.
Demonstrated experience managing real estate transactions, property acquisitions, disposals, lease transactions, or complex project portfolios.
Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or coordinating teams across multiple projects, regions, or workstreams.
Strong stakeholder management experience, including engagement with clients, consultants, legal teams, brokers, landlords, vendors, or other transaction stakeholders.
Proven ability to identify risks, remove delivery obstacles, and drive projects or transactions to successful completion.
Experience working within a matrixed, multi-stakeholder environment.
Strong understanding of transaction lifecycle management, governance requirements, risk management, and performance reporting.
Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and reporting tools.
Exposure to commercial real estate, property transactions, facilities management, or professional services environments will be advantageous
