Treasury Assistant at AON

What the day will look like

• Month end process completed by WD 2, Accurate reporting of GL through analysis and taking corrective actions where necessary.
• Balance sheet recons should be prepared and loaded onto Trintech by the 12th of every month monthly, and ensure more time is spent analyzing, investigating, and resolving uncleared items on the balance sheet.
• Assist the auditors with relevant queries relating to finance functions when requested.
• Interactions with Aon SA controllership monthly to improve controllership functions & cooperation.
• Book FX deals for payments made and ensure they are clear in the cash book in that week.
• Create payments on weekly basis on GRiDS based on requests from the Claims & Technical Accountants.
• Daily monitoring and preparation of cash book through follow up of uncleared, reconciling items and FX transactions.
• Minimizing of Forex risk by applying appropriate controls (e.g., restrict use of manage forex deals and have necessary sign off when done).
• Payments being queried by either technical accounts or bank and making sure that they are resolved timeously.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (matric)
• Completed University Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Honours in Accounting/Finance

Experience

• Have experience from invoicing to financial reporting.
• Have minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
