Online ESL Tutor at Nuvora Tutors

• We are a recruitment agency currently sourcing South African candidates for remote online English tutoring positions with education providers and partner schools based in Asia.
• Successful candidates will teach English online to children and young learners through one-on-one virtual lessons.
• Previous online teaching experience is not required for all available positions. Training and teaching materials are provided to candidates who successfully complete the selection and onboarding process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one online English lessons with children and young learners.
• Deliver lessons using the curriculum and teaching materials provided.
• Help students improve their English speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading and conversational confidence.
• Maintain a friendly, patient and professional teaching environment.
• Attend scheduled lessons punctually and consistently.
• Follow the teaching and attendance requirements of the education provider.
• Provide basic student feedback when required.
• Maintain professional communication with the teaching support team.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Clear pronunciation and strong communication skills.
• A laptop or desktop computer suitable for online teaching.
• A working webcam.
• A headset with microphone.
• Reliable high-speed internet.
• A quiet and professional teaching environment.
• Confidence communicating with children.
• Availability during the required teaching hours.
• The ability to commit to teaching for a minimum of six months.
• Previous teaching, tutoring, childcare or customer-service experience is advantageous but is not compulsory for all positions.

Working Arrangement

• Fully remote / work from home.
• One-on-one online English lessons.
• Students are primarily children and young learners.
• Teaching materials are provided.
• Training is provided to successful candidates.
• Teaching schedules are based on student bookings and the requirements of the selecting education provider.

Working Hours

Candidates must be available during:

• 11:00 AM - 17:00 PM
• Applicants should only apply if they can consistently work during these hours.

Compensation

• Final compensation, teaching schedule and contractual terms are confirmed by the partner school that selects the candidate.
