Triton Express: Service Consultant (Durban) at Plennegy Group

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as the primary contact for clients liaising with them efficiently and timeously.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
• Achieve agreed sales targets.
• Gather market intelligence / information in terms of freight service opportunities, competitor activities and reports.
• Determine customer needs and present the Company business proposal to them formally.
• Communicate progress to clients timeously.
• Conduct monthly and weekly service call visitations.
• Advise on rate increases and processing procedural changes.
• Negotiate prices and price increases effectively and timeously.
• Identify client sales volume declines and implement corrective action.
• Gain additional business within existing business profile.
• Prepare recommended proposals for Sales manager’s approval.
• Monitor credit applications submitted for approval and expediting same.
• Ensure that all necessary measures are in place to guarantee Customer satisfaction.
• Identify and capitalise on service / sale extension opportunities.
• Prepare weekly visitation reports.
• Ensure that all information from sales is detailed and accurate.
• Generate accurate quotes for all work requirements.
• Prepare and submit new business reports weekly.
• Update PENTAGON efficiently and timeously.
• Ensure data processed is in accordance with prescribed procedures to optimize the operations department.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12.
• 3-4 years experience in the freight industry.
• Knowledge of freight or logistics operations.
• Computer literate in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Freight management Systems.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Excellent communication & customer service.
