Turbocharger Fitter’s - (East London, 3-month contract) at Stratogo

Responsibilities:

• Install and fit turbochargers on Mercedes Benz engines according to manufacturer specifications and guidelines.
• Conduct inspections to ensure proper functioning and alignment of turbocharger components.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to turbocharger installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all phases of work.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Ability to work flexible shifts as required by project demands.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any deviations or concerns to the supervisor.
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Matric certificate (mandatory)
• Trade tested certificate.
• Clear criminal record (mandatory)
• Proven experience as a Turbocharger Fitter or similar role, with a focus on Mercedes Benz engines.
• Familiarity with turbocharger systems and components
• DS and bolt torquing experience (electric tools)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Effective communication skills.
