Underground Opperative at Epiroc

Main Responsibilities Of Functions Of Job

• Control the condition of HRD as per scheduled maintenance plan
• Change RD100 Chuck bushings as required
• Attend to good housekeeping in area of responsibility
• Provide assist operators by promoting good drilling practices during visits to machines
• Monitor drilling parameters and ensure that these are adhered to
• Assist foreman with scheduling service intervals on equipment
• Ensure water pressure is set within the recommended parameters
• Record meters per bit and report to admin
• Record on any electrical supply issues and/or water supply issues
• Attend to good housekeeping in stores and general office and workshop area
• Will carry out any other function or duty as may be required in terms of “The Epiroc Way”

Educational Requirements

• Grade 12

Additional Requirements

• Require medical fitness certificates (Red Ticket)

• Good / sound interpersonal / customer relations to be maintained at all times
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Good communication skills and customer focused
• Able to communicate with Rock drill operators.
• Qualified Rock drill Operator
