Underground Training - Mining at Barberton Mines

Description

• Responsible for health and safety of people at the Mine (area of responsibility)
• Underground standardization implementation
• Apply policies and procedures in the Underground Training Centre
• Responsible for skills transition to UG area of expertise

Planning and co-ordination of Mining Cycle activities in line with targets and objectives.

• Waiting place procedure
• Entry Examination
• Face preparation
• Marking off
• Drilling
• Blasting

Responsible for consistency and quality training delivery

• Control explosives in line with applicable rules and legislation
• Ensure safe blasting operations as required 

Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications and/or similar qualification
• Facilitator and Assessor Certificates will be advantageous
• Metalliferous Mining Blasting Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years of mining production experience
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to communicate with people on different levels
• Valid Certificate of physical fitness
