Unix Linux Administrator at WesBank

The Systems Administrator supports and administers the Linux platform. The incumbent provides input into the business requirement facilitates infrastructure requests and performs the implementation of the technical requirement. This role provides technical support to the QA, development and Production teams. The underpinning success of this role is the ability to keep abreast of technological advancements and developments to enable optimal administration of Linux operating system environment.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification - Grade 12; RHCSA Certification
• Preferred Qualification - RHCE Certification
• Experience – 6 to 10 years experience in administration of a Linux/UNIX Operating Systems

• RHEL Linux Operating Systems – Setup, Administration and Maintenance
• VMWare Infrastructure
• Network Configurations – teaming, bonding and aggregation
• Red Hat Satellite Configuration and Maintenance
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization
• Knowledge of Middleware platforms – ie. JBOSS / WebSphere/WebLogic
