Ventilation Superintendent at Gold One Group Limited

Qualifying Criteria:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualifications
• BSc/BTech/National Diploma in Mine Environmental Control or related field.
• Advanced Certificate in Mine Environmental Control (Chamber of Mines).
• Minimum of 7–10 years' experience in mine ventilation, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
• Experience in both underground and surface ventilation systems.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, SANS and MHSA regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literate (Ventsim, Surpac, Microsoft Office, etc.).
• South African Citizenship
• Clear Criminal Record

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor the mine ventilation plan following legal and company standards.
• Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and other relevant legislation.
• Monitor air quality, temperature, dust levels, and airflow throughout the mine.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the effectiveness of ventilation controls.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the ventilation team and management.
• Prepare and submit statutory reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and health and safety teams.
• Supervise and train ventilation officers.
• Conduct all work according to required standards and specifications
