    Venture Lead South Africa

    Role purpose

    •  Design and Implement New Business Models (e.g. Risk Sharing), leveraging our capabilities with climate, digital transformation and sales team.
    •  Develop the product scalability strategy for pre commercial and commercial phases, supported by technical automation and operational efficiency.
    •  Design, Monitor and Implement new Business Models cross functionally with Sales, Market Development, Marketing, FS, Data Science, Regional Marketing and Regional DFS.

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    •  Development Upstream strategy to guarantee the customer problem insight from an idea to first MPV in the field 
    •  Development Downstream strategy (Roles & Responsibilities, agile ceremonies, sprints, planning and playback meetings) to ensure the delivery of the milestones in the upcoming season
    •  Ensure ideas are killed or accelerated to incubation following our 3 pillars framework of Desirability, Viability & Feasibility 
    •  Create the Value Stream of the process to identify blind spots, pain points and continuous improvements 
    •  Build strong partnerships within business and technical teams to engage them and leverage potential new business ideas.
    •  Capture and align with the commercial organization on business model design and test/experiments those concepts aligned with regional NBM teams, also supporting OBM EMEA PMO through the stage gates 
    •  Lead and develop appropriate communications to align key stakeholders around this new process.
    •  Design the New Business Development Organization and rump up the operations with clear business plans into the EMEA 2030 Strategy
    •  Monitor and Set Up clear governance across top management (Africa Leadership Team) and middle management on key functions such as Sales, Market Development, Marketing, FS, Data Science, Regional Marketing and Regional DF

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    •  Tertiary qualifications in Agronomy, Marketing, Business or related fields.
    •  Minimum 5 years on sales
    •  Must have previous experience with GTM (Go-to-market) positions
    •  Desirable to have Commercial Excellence previous experience
    •  Risk Management Models experience in Ag Industry Agile Coach (desirable)
    •  Experience in CRM, data management and analytics is preferred.                                                             
    •  Agricultural background, experience in the seed, crop protection and/or biotechnology industry is preferred.  
    •  Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel / Power Point / Word) a prerequisite. Specific experience with MS Excel necessary.                                                   
    •  Highly motivated, creative, dynamic and well organized.
    •  Good business and strategic acumen required.                            
    •  Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    •  Fluent in English, oral and written, is required.
    •  Customer centric and market oriented.
    •  Experience with project planning and execution
    •  Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with associated deadlines for deliverable results.
    •  Proven ability to influence effectively in a diverse organization and works well in teams.
    •  Ability to work well across both commercial and smallholder farmer markets
