Videographer: SNL24 at Media24 (Pty) Ltd

Key responsibilities:

(The primary tasks, functions, and deliverables of the role)

• Shooting and editing video and photos for SNL24 and its brands daily (both for digital and print)
• Shooting and editing mini documentaries
• Interviewing celebrities, sports stars, newsmakers, and politicians on camera
• Accompanying reporters when required
• Producing own content (news and features)
• Taking still images for online galleries
• Producing a daily diary as well as a long-term diary focused on premium content and subscriptions

• Good technical knowledge of photographic equipment
• Excellent communication, elocution, and presentation skills
• Strong interviewing skills
• Ability to edit and upload video and phot content
• The ability to troubleshoot in field environments
• Creativity
• Ability to write excellent captions and upload content to applicable platform

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant diploma, degree or experience
• At least 4 years’ experience as a photographer or videographer
• Knowledge of the SNL24 audience and their interests
• Proficiency in relevant computer packages and applications
• Proficiency in photographic equipment
• Solid knowledge of video formats for web, social and mobile
