Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a marketing strategy for the division that aims at actively increasing market share, specifically user registrations and subscriptions on SNL24.com
• Manage and ensure the execution of all marketing plans (strategic and tactical) for SNL24 and its associated brands both in digital and print environments
• Develop, effectively manage and execute all marketing activities around acquisition and retention campaigns and promotions to encourage registrations, subscriptions, and brand loyalty, as well as to ensure product differentiation
• Develop and sustain relationships with decisionmakers, advertisers and other relevant media
• Effectively negotiate with sponsors and partners
• Coordinate PR projects and liaise with PR companies and agencies, issue press releases when required
• Prepare monthly departmental management reports
• Compile and deliver the annual budget that supports the marketing strategy and operating plan
• Manage and attain budget objectives
• Work closely with the Sales Manager and Audience Development Teams to support the marketing strategies
• Continuously analyse markets and identify marketing-related risks and opportunities

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant diploma or degree in Marketing or similar
• At least 4 years’ experience as a marketing manager or similar
• Knowledge of the marketing environment
• Knowledge of the SNL24 audience and their interests, as well as those of its associated brands
• Proficiency in relevant computer packages and applications
• Solid knowledge of marketing principles and platforms
• Knowledge of how to build value for brands both online and in print

• Develop SNL24’s podcasting strategy
• Source, record and edit audio for soccer podcasts
• Ability to pitch, record, script and edit long form narrative audio stories
• Prepare topic themes and questions for guests
• Develop daily podcasting schedules, focused on premium content creation
• Write accurate scripts, headlines, and text to accompany podcast
• Assist with publishing audio on the SNL24 platforms
• Maintain a strong diary with original story ideas
• After-hours and weekend work will be required at times
• Help with the production / editing of SNL24’s existing podcast series
• Provide guidance and training to multimedia reporters i.t.o. audio recording
• Film podcasts when appropriate

Requirements

• Relevant diploma, degree or experience
• At least 2 years’ experience as a podcaster, audio engineer or radio/TV presenter
• At least 2 years’ experience in journalism
• Knowledge of the podcasting environment
• Knowledge of the soccer audience and their interests
• Proficiency in relevant computer packages and applications
• Proficiency in recording equipment
• Solid knowledge of social-networking principles and platforms

• Shooting and editing mini documentaries
• Interviewing celebrities, sports stars, newsmakers, and politicians on camera
• Accompanying reporters when required
• Producing own content (news and features)
• Taking still images for online galleries
• Producing a daily diary as well as a long-term diary focused on premium content and subscriptions
