Responsibilities

• Greet customers and hand out menus
• Take meal and beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen
• Make menu recommendations and inform customers of any specials
• Deliver meals and beverages to tables when they have been prepared
• Check that customers are satisfied with their meal
• Prepare the bill for tables when requested
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Properly handle and maintain all equipment
• Respond to orders, questions, concerns and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
• Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash handling procedures
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
• Observe relevant health and safety standards
• Maintain clean and hygienic work station
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements when needed
• Utilise strong organisational skills to ensure efficient operations
• Demonstrate strong numeric skills for precise measurement and accurate cash handling
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently by maintaining a positive attitude and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers
