    Warehouse Controller (72155)

    Job Description

    • Our client is a well-established organisation, based West of Durban and operating within the logistics and warehousing sector, serving the food industry.  
    • We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Controller to take responsibility for the effective coordination and control of inbound and outbound stock within a busy warehouse operation.
    • This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who is hands-on, organised, analytical and confident in leading a team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and control all inbound and outbound warehouse stock.
    • Monitor inventory levels, replenishment and stock accuracy.
    • Manage picking, checking and loading processes to ensure productivity and compliance targets are achieved.
    • Ensure customer orders are correctly prepared, packed and loaded.
    • Oversee returns and ensure accurate system processing.
    • Monitor warehouse administration, billing and reporting.
    • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and warehouse organisation.
    • Drive cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvements in warehouse efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety, ISO and other applicable standards.
    • Conduct daily risk and safety inspections.
    • Monitor team performance, provide feedback and coach employees to achieve targets.
    • Work closely with transport, planning, SHEQ, finance and other internal teams.
    • Resolve operational, stock and resourcing issues within the warehouse.

    Minimum Requirements

    • National Diploma in Warehouse / Logistics Management.
    • Valid Code EB driver's licence.
    • 4-6 years' warehouse experience, including at least 3 years in a Supervisory / Team Leader role.
    • Must be able to work on a rotational shift basis
    • Strong warehouse and stock-control knowledge.
    • Experience with inbound, outbound and stock-handling processes.
    • SAP MM and BW experience.
    • Strong MS Office and computer literacy skills.
    • Good analytical, logical and numerical ability.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
