Warehouse Controller at Tiger Brands

Job Description

• You will be responsible for the management of the warehouse operations under your control, you will ensure that the inventory is managed and controlled in a good state within the warehouse confines. You will assist the LCT in determining the availability of stock against order due for delivery and you will ensure that the deliveries are loaded and dispatched timeously in a complete manner. You will manage the workforce of warehouse Forklift Drivers  under you to ensure warehouse operations and infrastructure is able to support overall supply chain goals within defined KPIs and budget

Responsibilities

• Ensure timeous cycle counting practices and procedures are stringently adhered to
• Minimize waste write offs and product damage.
• Making sure all Inbound and Outbound stock is checked, picked stock v/s physical stock loaded (Damaged stock and pallets) (Supervising both Checkers and Forklift drivers) and all Outbound loads are scanned
• Control Forklift fleet – Daily check lists completed and signed Off.
• Manage all FGW SOP’s and ensure adherence.
• Manage the stock in the finished goods warehouse to minimize risks such as damages and spoilage (Manage stock Rotation)
• Management of health, safety, and environmental standards in warehouse as per Tiger Brands Policies
• Management of discipline in warehouse especially time keeping – Clock in and out
• Effective management of human resources: promote small group activities (Invocom)
• Ensure that all staff are well managed to improve productivity, reduce overtime and ensure staff
• Ensure Proper House Keeping

Qualifications
Key Professional Competencies

• Core knowledge – Good People and Interpersonal Skills, Sound working knowledge of warehousing and Distribution, Computer literate: MS Word, Oracle
• ability to implement SOP, Delegation and planning ability
