Warehouse Manager - Linbro Park - Sandton at CM Value Added Services (Pty) Ltd

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervise inventories for delivery, and assist with loading and unloading, packaging, and labeling.
• Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects within the warehouse.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
• Supervise and assist in keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
• Conduct regular safety training sessions for warehouse staff.
• Investigate and address any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of products safely and efficiently, mobilizing the team to develop and maintain the correct processes and tools to ensure safety, quality, service, and cost standards are met and improved.
• Evaluate and enhance warehouse layout to improve efficiency in product flow.
• Control and manage inventory levels.
• Develop, maintain and continually improve the standard of quality of processes and procedures to ensure integrity and accuracy of stock.
• Encourage and implement suggestions from team members to enhance processes.
• Implement processes to improve order accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
• All required administrative duties as well as correctly invoicing and scanning of goods.
• Maintain a positive relationship with all members of the team.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage team members to meet organizational goals and ensure productivity.
• Perform daily cycle counts/monthly stock-taking – full stock takes to be done every 3 months.
• Investigate and report inventory damage/discrepancies

Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12, with a tertiary qualification preferred in one of the following industries: distribution/logistics/ /supply chain management advantageous.
• Previous experience in a warehouse dispatch environment essential (minimum 5 years)
• Excellent people skills be a nice person with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of Pastel
• Highly organized and able to pay attention to detail, (mild OCD is a good thing here).
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment – the day flies by here.
• Computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and good typing skills.
• Be a team player, with a good sense of humour and looking for a long-term career with a company that you can grow in.
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation
