Warehouse Superintendent at Saint-Gobain

Why do we need you ?

• Responsible for the full warehouse function, including variances, finished goods, Raw’s, packaging, stock levels, until products are dispatched.
• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
• Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
• Ensure expired and damaged stock is reworked or scraped.
• Monitor warehouse process controlling and determine staffing levels and assign workload
• Oversee outbound and inbound warehouse department and ensure staff alignment to departmental goals.
• Monitor and manage smooth operation in the warehouse
• Supervise, evaluate team performance and develop performance improvement plans needed
• Ownership of the stock management function.
• Implement and maintain WCM (5S) within the Warehouse and ensure
• Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
• With support of the HR department, oversee all HR related issues for subordinates, including recruitment, development and training, performance management, IR issues, leave administration, overtime management.

Is this job for you ?

• The ideal candidate must have completed Matric and possess a Degree or Diploma in Transportation/Logistics or Supply Chain. Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics, inventory control and warehouse supervision within a manufacturing environment.  At least 2 years’ management experience within a Warehousing Environment. This role calls for a person with the ability to do budgeting and cost management as well as good communication and Interpersonal skills.
