Job Description

• A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations at a third-party logistics facility.
• This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining stock accuracy, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring all warehouse activities comply with company standards and KPIs.
• The successful candidate will have strong warehouse, inventory, and export logistics experience, together with excellent SAP knowledge and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure compliance with company procedures and standards.
• Supervise inbound and outbound warehouse activities.
• Ensure accurate packing, stacking, and container loading according to shipping schedules.
• Monitor warehouse performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure damaged stock is managed according to company procedures.

Stock & Inventory Management

• Record all stock movements accurately within SAP.
• Verify stock quantities, grades, and packaging specifications.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Perform physical inspections of incoming stock.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure products meet quality standards before dispatch.
• Monitor packaging quality, labelling, and contamination control.
• Oversee rebagging activities to ensure quality and weight accuracy.

Documentation & Systems

• Maintain accurate warehouse data within SAP.
• Ensure packing lists, shipping instructions, and inventory documentation are completed accurately.
• Assist in resolving documentation discrepancies with internal teams.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with warehouse service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor warehouse KPIs and drive accountability.
• Escalate operational issues where necessary.
• Participate in operational performance reviews.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
• Report and investigate safety incidents where required.
• Support warehouse audits and inspections.
• Promote a safe working environment at all times.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Tertiary qualification in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a Related qualification
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in warehouse coordination, warehouse supervision, or inventory management.
• Strong experience using SAP.
• Sound understanding of warehouse operations and export logistics.
• Experience managing inventory accuracy and warehouse processes.
• Experience working with third-party logistics providers would be advantageous.
