Warehouse Supervisor at Lear Corporation

Main Purpose

• To oversee all aspects of the Warehouse, stock control, line supplies and subordinates.

Responsibilities Would Include

• Ensuring goods are received and stored in correct locations.
• Ensure parts are available for production when required.
• Maintaining good controls to ensure stock accuracy and MRP system integrity.
• Ensuring materials are issued according to FIFO principles.
• Co-ordinating line feeders to ensure that the correct supply to production is maintained, with no interruptions.
• Ensure racks are packed neatly and safely.
• Ensuring that all stock items are clearly identified and accessible.
• Ensure and maintain World class housekeeping.
• Ensure that all safety requirements in the workplace are adhered to.
• Ensure that forklifts are maintained and used correctly in the plant.
• Support all cycle count activities in the warehouse and plant.
• Ensure that all stock discrepancies are investigated and root causes documented and corrected.
• Co-ordination of stocktake preparation for bi-annual wall to wall.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum matric (Grade 12) is essential. A tertiary certificate or diploma in Logistics or related field would be advantageous.

Related Experience

• Minimum 5 years warehouse / logistics experience of which at least 3 years in the capacity of Supervisor in an automotive environment is essential.

Special Requirements

• Reachtruck licence would be advantageous. Shift work is required
