To manage and optimize all wash plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective processing of coal products while achieving production targets, quality specifications, environmental compliance, and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operation of the wash plant, ensuring production targets and quality specifications are achieved.
Monitor and optimize plant performance, throughput, recovery, and efficiency.
Oversee planned and breakdown maintenance activities to maximize plant availability and reliability.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
Lead, supervise, and develop plant personnel to promote a high-performance and safety-focused culture.
Manage operational budgets, consumables, and cost-control initiatives.
Analyse production and operational data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and submit operational, maintenance, and performance reports.
Coordinate with mining, engineering, and laboratory teams to ensure efficient plant operations and product quality.
Minimum Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
7–10 years' experience in coal or mineral processing operations, including management experience.
Strong knowledge of coal washing, crushing, screening, dewatering, and materials handling processes.
Experience in maintenance management, production planning, and performance optimization.
Sound understanding of mining legislation, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
