Web Developer/Designer - Parktown at Orion Hotels & Resorts

We are seeking a talented and creative Web Developer/Designer to join our Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both web development and design, with the ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly websites.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.
• Design website layouts and graphics using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure websites are optimized for both desktop and mobile devices.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure websites are functioning correctly.
• Stay up-to-date on current web development trends and technologies

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• A tertiary qualification in Web Development, Design, Computer Science, or related field is preferable.
• At least 5+ years of experience in web development and design.
• Must be able to provide a portfolio of websites completed.
• Strong understanding of APIs, E-Commerce, online shopping, payment gateways and loyalty programmes as well as UX/UI design, website updates, integrations & widgets.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages.
• Experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
