Weighbridge Clerk at Bidvest Tank Terminals

Job Advert Summary    

• Bidvest Tank Terminals has an opportunity for a Weighbridge Clerk. This opportunity exists within the Logistics Department, based in Richards Bay, reporting to the Logistics Supervisor. The candidate must meet the following minimum criteria:

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Computer literate
• Experience in Bulk Liquid Storage Facility or Terminal Operations Advantageous
• 1 year's previous work experience in similar position Advantageous
• SAP experience
• Weighbridge experience

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Capture all vehicle weights on a shift basis
• Ensure that all vehicles are directed to the correct sites for loading or offloading
• Print audit trails and hand to Logistics Department for checking and filing
• Ensure that the Dangerous Goods Declaration is issued as required by the Road Traffic Act
• Ensure that the Dangerous Goods Declaration is issued as per the customer requirements
• Report unsafe acts and conditions to the Supervisor on shift
• Assist in investigations of all accidents and incidents

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to deal with customers/transporters
• Good, clear concise communication skills Fluent in English
• Knowledge of Weighbridge
