Job Specification

• The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and modifying, installing, and repairing plant and machinery where necessary. May inspect plant or production area and report faults to the Artisan Foreman to assist in scheduling maintenance or repairs as required to minimise loss of production.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Artisan (Trade Certificate Welding)
• 2 years' experience within the relevant industry
• Good computer literacy
• Ability to work independently

• Be able to work with the following materials (cast iron, mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum)
• Normal Arch welding, Mig and Tic welding as well as Gas welding on various materials
• Read and interpret engineer drawings
• Secures good quality of work on products
• Maintenance of welding equipment and provide own prescribed tools
• Must be able to work under pressure and be prepared to work after hours

• Organise own work effectively to complete tasks on-time and per priority
• Report functional information on time and at the right quality
• Apply practices, policies, standards, procedures, and methods consistently
• Always maintain workshop hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices

• Work closely with other team members to plan and execute welding projects efficiently
