Job Description

• Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is looking for a skilled and dependable Trade Tested Welder / Boilermaker to join their Power Station maintenance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on artisan with strong fabrication and welding experience in a manufacturing environment who takes pride in producing quality work while maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ARC, MIG and TIG welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication work.
• Carry out maintenance welding, repairs and general steel fabrication.
• Repair and maintain machinery, structures, guards, frames and plant equipment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance, shutdowns and breakdown repairs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements accurately.
• Use welding, cutting and shaping techniques to manufacture and repair metal components.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Comply with all health, safety and environmental regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Trade Tested Welder or Boilermaker.
• Coded Welder certification will be advantageous.
• Proven experience with ARC, MIG and TIG welding.
• Solid welding and fabrication experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements.
• Experience performing maintenance welding, repairs and fabrication on plant equipment.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Reliable, disciplined and able to work effectively within a maintenance team.
• Willingness to work overtime, standby duties and shifts when required.
