Winding Engine Driver at Murray & Roberts

Job description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Communicating winding engine defects to the appropriate supervisor or manager
• Performing ore pulling operations from shaft bottom with kibble winder
• Co-ordinating winding activities with total process requirements
• Compiling accurate shift reports
• Escalating abnormal operation problems to appropriate Engineer or manager
• Responding to standard hauling signals
• Assisting during breakdowns or emergencies
• Helping engineering employees to maintain equipment in the winder area

Minimum requirements:

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
• Winding Engine Driver's certificate
• Onsetter certificate
• Good communication skills in English
• Valid Medical certificate of Fitness
• Covid-19 Coronavirus Vaccination Certificate [Site Specific]

 Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• 3 Years working experience as a Winding Engine Driver in a sinking shaft
• Good working experience within the mining environment
• Must have experience in Mine Construction and Shaft sinking
