Workshop Foreman at Novus Holdings Ltd

Job Description    

• The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the technical team and scheduling of all planned and unplanned maintenance on plant equipment and machinery. The scope and requirements of this position requires that incumbent is expected to function on a senior level and be focused on preventative maintenance and minimal technical downtime on equipment

Key Duties and Responsibilities    

• Ensuring the implementation of and compliance to the OHS Act and Novus Holdings Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Preventative maintenance through coordination of day to day planning of maintenance
• Supervising all technical staff to ensure daily targets and deadlines are met Implementing and driving continuous improvement initiatives, with a view to increase productivity and reduce cost, providing leadership through displaying company aligned values and behaviours.
• Scheduling of planned and unplanned maintenance
• Ensuring availability of equipment and overseeing the maintenance of equipment
• Monthly technical reports to OPS Manager, overseeing workshop staff admin
• All legally required GMR2 functions in terms of safety for all equipment, machinery and buildings

Educational Requirements    

• The successful candidate will have a relevant National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• The completion of a relevant trade test will be an added advantage

Experience Requirements    

• 4 - 6 years technical experience in a fast-paced production or FMCG environment Experience in a printing environment will be advantageous.
