About the Role

• The Works Foreman is responsible for overseeing construction and maintenance activities on-site, ensuring projects comply with specifications and are completed on time and within budget.
• This role requires strong leadership skills in managing teams of workers, resources, and project timelines to deliver quality results in alignment with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of workers in daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Coordinate the workflow and assign tasks to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
• Monitor the quality of work and materials used, conducting regular inspections to maintain standards.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and equipment used on specific projects.
• Provide training and mentoring to team members to enhance skills and performance.
• Troubleshoot project-related issues proactively, implementing solutions to avoid delays.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health and safety regulations throughout project execution.

Requirements

• Proven track record in construction management or a similar supervisory role within the construction sector.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and safety regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage team dynamics.
• Demonstrable experience in project planning and resource allocation.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in construction management, project management, or a related field.
• Experience with construction management software and tools.
• Knowledge of environmental management practices in construction.
