Workshop Manager at Hyundai Automotive South Africa

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our workshop. The Workshop Manager will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating projects, maintaining equipment and tools, and ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, a high level of technical expertise, and a proven track record of managing a workshop or similar facility.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of workshop technicians and support staff.
• Coordinate and prioritize project workloads to ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working order.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to staff as needed.
• Oversee quality control procedures to ensure all work meets company standards and customer expectations.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, inventory levels, and other relevant information.
• Continuously review and improve workshop processes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a workshop or similar technical environment.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs.
• Experience with budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
