About the Role

• As a Technician-Service at VW Vereeniging, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality service and support to our customers, ensuring their vehicles operate optimally. This position focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Document all repairs and services performed accurately in the service management system.
• Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical details and repair procedures to clients in a clear manner.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless workflow and timely service delivery.
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and service techniques.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
• Contribute to operational efficiency by adhering to policies and procedures set by the dealership.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in automotive technology or mechanics from a recognized institution.
• Demonstrable experience in automotive repairs or servicing, preferably within a brand dealership environment.
• Strong diagnostic skills with a proven track record of resolving complex vehicle issues.
• Familiarity with automotive computers and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications in specific automotive systems (e.g., electrical or hybrid technology) are advantageous.
• Experience with Volkswagen vehicles or products is preferred but not mandatory.
• Customer service training or experience is a plus.
