Youth Employment Services (YES)- Technical Official at Eskom Communications

Job description

• Position/Task Grade: YY1
• Eskom Distribution LimLanga Cluster is looking for Technical Officials in the Major Engineering Works, Plant Performance Maintenance and Customer Network Centre environments to ensure the continuity of supply to customers by building, maintaining and repairing infrastructure and plant according to dead and limited Live Work practices, guidelines and Service Agreements on the electrical network up to and including 33 kilovolts (kV).

• Location: Mbombela, Bushbuckridge, Cottondale, Thulamahashe, Buffelspruit, Figtree, Kamhlushwa, Malalane, Matsulu, Hazyview, Mkhuhlu and Kabokweni

Minimum requirement

• Must be a South African Citizen
• Aged between 18 to 34 
• Grade 12 or equivalent and/or post matric certificate/programme/ N3 Electrical Engineering

Selection Criteria

• Should not have been employed permanently with a single employer continuously for more than 1 year.
• Should not be studying full time in the year of employment.
• Should not have participated / registered on the YES initiative before.
• Applicants will go through a recruitment process, and if successful, be placed in the Eskom Operations across the        divisions.
